2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel serves the pages through a global server network, so data may also be processed in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

Vercel processes the data as a processor and receives only the data needed to deliver the website.

On every request Vercel processes: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser and operating system (user agent) and the previously visited page (referrer). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and without disruption. According to Vercel, this data is kept only as long as necessary for operation, security and legal obligations. Details are in Vercel’s privacy policy.

3. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your details in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. I delete the data once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

4. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and uses no analytics or tracking services. Fonts and all other files are served from ra-janbecker.de; no third-party content is embedded. Vercel’s analytics services (Web Analytics, Speed Insights) are not enabled. External links, for example to LinkedIn, are only requested when you click them. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You may object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). Please write to the email address above.

6. Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority competent for this website is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.
